I was printing out some school papers for the kids yesterday and getting through it pretty quickly when all of a sudden the printer just stopped…no noise, no errors, nothing…it just stopped.
I tried everything to fix it, I reset everything, shut it off, turned it back on, unplugged it, looked it up on the internet….nothing worked. So…now I’m looking for a new printer. Any thoughts?
I did look at Buy.com and found a Brother HL-5240 High-Speed Desktop Office Laser Printer. It looks nice…and is at a great price. Buy.com is usually pretty great about their prices! (Take a look at their sale, too!)
I really need a printer that can handle the many, many copies I make each day. I think that one may be able to handle it! 
On a side note…my poison sumac is getting much better. It’s no longer on my face…only my arms, hands and legs. I was always told you couldn’t get poison sumac (or poison ivy or poison oak) on the palms of your hands…well, I beg to differ! I have posion sumac on the palm of my right hand and on the bottom of my pinky finger…I think that is the spot that hurts the most. Because of the swelling I can hardly bend that finger.

Well…I’ve been down with horrible poison sumac for the last three days…it has been terrible! I haven’t been able to get in here and write my posts when I wanted to, I haven’t been able to enjoy the holiday, I haven’t been able to spend time with my family!

Since I’ve had the itchies, I haven’t been able to check much out on the internet…I am doing a little better today, so I was able to find this SanDisk Sansa C250 2GB MP3 Player! This is what I have needed these past few days! I have been absolutely miserable…the only thing that has made me feel ok was listening to music or watching tv….
Luckily, this isn’t contagious and none of my children have had it…I think I got in to it when I was pulling weeds at the side of my house…and once it came on, it came on fast and I was down for the count!
What a bad, long weekend I have had! 
Hopefully we’ll be able to go to the cemetery today to place some crosses on grandparents graves. I wanted to over the weekend..but, obviously, that wasn’t possible.
The kids have been begging me to take them geocaching. I’ve heard a lot about it, I’ve read up on it and it does seem quite interesting and extremely fun.
People and organizations all over the world have put these caches in different places for others to find and will give you the coordinates to that cache. You would use your gps to find them. Seem easy? Well, it’s one thing to find it, it’s another to actually get to it. That’s part of the fun.
The only problem with us doing this is that I don’t have a gps. 
I found where Buy.com has a great Garmin StreetPilot c550 GPS Navigation System w/ Bluetooth. This is such a great price I’m considering buying two, one for me and one for my husband. This would be really nice for our annual road trips, also. We like to go on a road trip at least once each year…usually we aren’t sure where we’re going until just a few weeks before we go. Many times, while we’re on the trip we’ll decide to go to another destination. Just last year we went to Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. While there, we decided to check out Iowa and Nebraska as well. I can think of a few times it would have been nice to have one of these with us!
