For quite a long time now, I’ve wanted to get out and see the world from a little class C RV. I want to be able to just decide I want to see something or some place and go do it.
We’re working on it, and I’m trying to save the money for it. My children are still young enough to enjoy it, but old enough to help. We homeschool, so it will be a wonderful learning experience for them.
We have found some RV’s, and have decided that we can make do with a used RV valued at around $7,000-$8,000. The only problem is being able to save that money without touching our necessary savings. Any suggestions from anyone out there?!

We’re back!
We had a great time! We went to the Falls of the Ohio where we learned about rocks, fish and fossils. The kids were more interested in the fish than anything else…but they really enjoyed themselves. Here is a picture of the kids as we were leaving.

That’s the Ohio River behind them. Right after this picture we were too hungry for our little peanut butter and jelly sandwiches so we decided instead to go to Golden Corral!
We finally made it home after 1:00 and the kids did their math and a little creative writing in which they wrote all about their day. The last thing they had to do was play a game with their vocab and spelling words. We all had a great time with the game.
We had a very nice day!
As most of you are aware, we started a new curriculum a while back. It’s called Weaver and it is working out wonderfully! I didn’t get involved enough before because the curriculum simply didn’t call for it…this does and we’re loving it. Not only that, we just started helping a friend by homeschooling her daughters during the day. Today was our first day and we really enjoyed ourselves. It went much quicker than I expected and we were finished early!
Tomorrow I’m taking them on a field trip! Stop back by tomorrow night to read about it and maybe see a few pictures!
So far it’s going ok. The kids are doing math right now then we’ll break for lunch. It was much more boring in the beginning than I expected. I wasn’t fully prepared, that’s for sure! As much time as I have put in to this, you’d think it would have went a little better. I really need more help with figuring out the science and social studies….especially for my older ones.
The kids loved their creative writing assignments. Even my son, who hates to write anything. His story was the most creative today (and quite funny!)
Any ideas?? Does anyone have any good links for printing for this first chapter of Volume 1?
Do any of you use business cards? I have seen many moms use business cards. It’s easier when you meet another mom to just hand her a business card rather than try to find something to write on. I’ve even thought about getting some for the kids. They’ve all asked for some..so maybe!
I found this place to create your own logo. Logo Design. It was very easy, took only a minute or so and take a look at the finished product. I could add other things, make business cards, etc.

The business card selection was great, as were the logo options. Many symbols from many different industries, some I never would have dreamed of!
Take a look and let me know what you think. I think I’m going back in to play around with the logo creator some more!
