My love of writing comes from this man. Piggy Pappaw was my great grandfather and yes, we called him Piggy Pappaw because of the pigs on his farm. He was the fun loving romantic, the artistic writer. I can only hope to be half the writer he was. His poems are inspirational. He lived his life for the Lord and I am so proud to call him my great grandfather. I had another grandfather (4th great) who was also a poet. His name was Zebulon Leavenworth. You can read one of his poems here. One thing they had in common: they wrote about those they loved.
I haven’t had a chance to just be lazy, lately. We’ve been very busy opening a new business…now, after more than a month of non-stop *go-go-go* we are finally able to just be lazy.
So…today we are taking full advantage. We are sitting around being as lazy as we possibly can…I on the computer, my children off doing whatever they want (video games, friends over, etc.).
It’s nice to be lazy every once in a while.
Life has been so hectic and off the wall lately..I’ve had no time for my own personal genealogy. I have done a few look-ups here and there for others, but my own has been lacking.
Today I made a decision to get my genealogy back out and get busy again…even if only a small amount, I will pull out the old paperwork, dust off my Family Tree Maker and Ancestry account and get back at it.
Anyone care to join me?
For quite a long time now, I’ve wanted to get out and see the world from a little class C RV. I want to be able to just decide I want to see something or some place and go do it.
We’re working on it, and I’m trying to save the money for it. My children are still young enough to enjoy it, but old enough to help. We homeschool, so it will be a wonderful learning experience for them.
We have found some RV’s, and have decided that we can make do with a used RV valued at around $7,000-$8,000. The only problem is being able to save that money without touching our necessary savings. Any suggestions from anyone out there?!
