I received all of our curriculum (many binders) and have been reading through it and trying to get everything ready…but I’m just more confused by it. I have used boxed curriculum, unit studies and even put together our own curriculum using whatever I had on hand and at the library…but this is confusing!

I’ve checked out the few websites I’ve been sent…but nothing seems to help.  If any other weaver moms out there could email me I’d appreciate a little help getting started!  Especially those using the Volume and the supplement.  My kids are 2nd/3rd grade, 7th grade and 9th grade.  Here are the Weaver books I have:

Volume 1

7-12 Supplement

High Way to English

Wisdom Words

Day By Day

Well, Christmas is long over, but we do have birthdays throughout the year.  My youngest just had a birthday last month and we have another childs birthday coming up in July.  We’re in the middle of the longest stretch with having to buy toys for someones birthday or other holiday. This is the time when we should be able to put back more money than usual…but it doesn’t seem to work out that way. There is always something else to buy, repair, replace, etc.

But, this is better than the alternative. The alternative being never having had children or them growing up and moving out. I’ll let them take their own sweet time with it. :-)

I have extremely dry skin on my hands.  I think it has more to do with a factory that is nearby and less to do with anything I’m doing wrong to care for it.  I’ve been using lotions daily and nothing seems to stop it from getting worse.  I also believe that when your skin is this dry it starts to make you look older than you are.  I started using aquaphor and it seems to be helping.  A friend of mine has dry skin on her face but rather than use lotion she’s using an anti wrinkle cream. I don’t know…if you have the wrinkles and need it, ok..but if it’s just dry skin try a heavy duty cream like aquaphor.
