As most of you know, I am hopelessly addicted to genealogy…and blogging…and homeschool *stuff*. I sometimes wish they had a drug rehab for my addictions…of course, then it wouldn’t be a drug rehab…it would be a genealogy rehab, or a blog rehab, or a homeschool stuff rehab.
Do I really need rehab or should I just allow my addictions to overtake me? I don’t believe genealogy can be bad, unless you begin to spend too much money and your family goes without food because you have no money left to buy groceries…ok, genealogy can get too addictive. Luckily, I’m not at that point.
Now…my homeschool stuff addiction has gotten pretty bad in the past..especially before I found our current curriculum (Weaver Curriculum). Before, I would spend all sorts of time and money searching for what to do next…now I dont’ worry about it anymore. I just plan ahead using Weaver and everything works out great!
Taking a genealogy vacation doesn’t count against me….does it?

I told you about my friends daughter who is having a zit problem…yes…one zit. tsk, tsk, tsk.
Anyway…now she’s claiming that she’s too fat….sheesh…the girl is tiny…..she isn’t heavy at all.
A woman I know is thinking about using Orovo…it is a weight loss, lose acne and wrinkle reducer in one. I told her to let me know how it works out…I know quite a few people who are looking for something like that!
Back to my friends daughter….she is going to her doctor to make sure losing weight is best for her. I’m glad to hear this. Teens shouldn’t just decide they’re going to lose weight and stop eating. Losing weight, when necessary, should be done under a doctors supervision.

Tomorrow is Mothers Day and I’ve already been given some of my presents. :-) Laikyn made me a card with a very sweet poem that she wrote. It made me cry. :-) Kailyn gave me a digital photo keychain, my dad gave me a webkinz turtle :-), my mom sent me a card and Josh got me a pair of Bolle sun glasses.
It’s a good Mothers Day already…and it doesn’t start until tomorrow!

I live in an old house that’s always needing work done to it. Right now, we have a toilet that leaks, a faucet that leaks, a drain that clogs easily, painting that needs done, exterior work needing done…etc..etc…Because of this, it’s hard for us to do anything extra that we would like to do.

For instance, I have been wanting to put in a small pond in the back yard for two years now. I would also like to get some of those wood blinds for the first floor. I love the way they look in an old house. Even if I could get them only for the foyer and the living room…that would be great. As I said, there is always something that needs to be done to the house…so the things we really want get put on the back burner for a while.
Oh well…maybe next month!

I used to drink a lot of coffee. I do mean A LOT! I had a pot of coffee on all day long…actually a few pots as I was drinking so much I was constantly making more. :-\
I started having heart palpitations and I decided that the coffee may have something to do with it….so I stopped coffee altogether. The palpitatins havent’ stopped completely, but they’re almost gone now. I think what’s left are caused by the little bit of caffeine I’m getting from other things like tea and chocolate.
I found this tea I love. It’s called Earl Grey…I buy it in decaf and it’s delicious! So now, rather than coffee I drink hot tea in the morning. I was going to buy one of those espresso machines before the palpitations started…I still may. I believe it’ll be ok every once in a while.
